Reviews for My Dying Bride - As the Flower Withers:

This is the album that created a genre. And, as such, it has yet to be surpassed. The one shortcoming is that it sometimes gets monotonous (ironically, it is the faster songs that run into this problem), but overall it is excellent. The haunting "Silent Dance"... the awesome "Sear Me"... the indescribably dark "The Bitterness and the Bereavement"... and the exquisite "The Return of the Beautiful". They all make for an intense and emotional musical journey. Highly recommended.
