Reviews for Therion - Paroxysmal Holocaust (demo):

This is again one of those really cool demotapes of a band that has become a lot more popular than they ever thought in this stadium. Great played Swedish deathmetal, I really like Therion best this way, not those stupid gothic-like synth pop-metal. Its something like their debut CD, which is also still a really great deathmetal classic (for me).

And, when I heard this demo for the first time, the singing (with the higher screams in it) sounded familiar. And now listening it again, I remember. A Dutch band (from Rotterdam) called Iskander uses the same kind of vocals. I'm not sure if they got influenced by early Therion.

How ever, a really great demotape, a must for a deathmetal fan!
