Good Allegiance album with two members (while making this album) of Marduk. The music is Swedish black metal with atmospheric sounds. A more melodic version of Marduk. I like the fact that the band uses pauses and twists in the music. In ‘Hedna stal’ allegiance playes a great song with those twists. This jazzy black metal piece is exciting and energetic.
For the old school black metal fan this is perhaps a bit slow and less agressive. But don’t think this is anything near commercial black metal such as Mystic circle or Dimmu borgir.
