Being one of the first dark metal albums I've listened to - before I got into Samael - I may be a little bias in my review. I don't really think the Sameal comparisons are deserved although I understand why they exist - geographical relations. Anyway, this album has some great tracks but is a little weak as far as the entire album is concerned. The symphonic keyboards are really loud in the mix and the overall tempo is very midrange throughout the whole album. I wouldn't give these guys any credit for their intelligence as the lyrics are quite ignorant for the mostpart whoever the dispair is quite apparent and this album has a dark feel to it.
