well well... this is not an spectacular cd of the norwegian band Borknagar... It's good, but it's not perfect.
The cd starts with the Eye of Odin, the grim vocals perfectly performed by Vintersorg, but his failure, in the whole show, was the clean voices. Garm had that unique clean voice... well Oceans Rise was very good. A Tale of a pagan tongue... similar to The Eye of Odin... that unique clean voice of Garm... The Black Token and Ad Noctum were one of the high points of the album. Gods of my world was the next, very good, with the support of Lars Nedland in backing Vocals, well... here Vintersorg couldn't reach the perfect voice. Icon Dreams... when i listened to this song I get disapointed. This song was Vintersorg's Fall. Vortex did a excelent job on that song, but Vintersorg couldn't sing it well... Colossus was the next, i think that Colossus was the best song of the show, no mistakes this time, perfectly performed. And finally The Dawn of The End... like Colossus perfectly performed. When the song had finished... the band was a little cold... but whatever.
Borknagar is a great Band. All the bands make mistakes and Borknagar ( and Vintersorg), aren't the exception.
