Fantastic depressive melodic death from the USA, the drummer is the webmaster of Katatonia's web site and friend of the band.
I'm not saying DD sounds like Katatonia, probably more in the vein of Rapture's 'Futile', but the guitars are the absolute protagonist of the sound, heavy guitars combined with beautiful depressive melodies that Lord Blackkheim would be proud to create.
The first song is one of my band favorites, it appears in 'No Reply' with better production. Is full of intensity and rage.
'Forfeiture of life' has a suffocating and incredible beginning, shame that after 2 minutes it losts the intensity.
'Stronger days' is a slower dark song with some memorable doomy melodies and very nice final.

The CD comes with an annoying presentation in macromedia for PCs and the artwork is a bit primitive but adds to the atmosphere of this excellent debut.
