Fast and Brutal and anti-christ spells Deicide. That's why they rule!

"Bastards of Christ" is the best fucking Deicide song ever, hands down.

Without any loss of feriocity Deicide has made the perfect sing-along album of their career with Serpents of the light. From the first track till the last it stands for mindless fun with those catchy riffs and lyrics that somehow tend to stick in your head. Apperently Glen doesn't like to think too long about the lyrics, everything is done with the abab and aabb rhyme structure, plain and simple, executed the way it should be. An amazing release that is appreciated by only a few.

this album is raw, brutal and everything deicide. its production is shit which lets it down but its still worth listing to.

Another deicide album, is not bad but it doesn't have the energy of before albums, after all is really good

this album closes the 'classical'deicide period (as when satan lives live album testify) and starts what I called before the crystallization of benton's band's sound.....this is deicide's last great album, and it's pervaded with an aura of sadness and disenchantment unnoticed in the first three works.
after this album glen benton should have committed suicide (as he said he would at the age of 33), but he didn't...this makes me think there's something 'final', swansong-like in 'serpents'.
when i voted i gave it a 7, but i think it deserves a 9, with no doubt. ENDURING IN PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
