A great record, dispite what any ass says about Dimmu, they quite frankly Rule!. Enthrone Darkness.. is a stunning record, the songs are all fucking good with some such as "The Night Masquerade" standing out. The production is superb and lets Dimmu's symphonies take the air.

The Fucking Album of all time! It has the best black metal vocals I have ever heard, fast drum beats, sick guitar riffs and the keyboards are outstanding.
"Get a Dog up-yah!" to the all the cunts who think Dimmu Borgir are shit!

Review by: Duplo_mccarthy

One of the best, if not THE best, metal album of all time.

probably one of the best metalalbums from norway-side.
Mourning Palace is one hell of a numner, probably one of the best songs Dimmu Borgir ever made

Some people, who claim Black Metal is supposed to be "True", hate this album. They think it represents the commercialization of Black Metal! Personally, I don't quite understand what the fuzz is about... Dimmu Borgir was always a "melodic" Black Metal band, and on this release they pursue their ideals to perfection! There is no compromise whatsoever regarding the evil, misanthropic atmosphere of this record. Just listen to "Master of Disharmony" and realize that this album is just as "True" (in the relevant sense) as Emperor's "In The Nightside Eclipse". To the "True" Black Metal fans I say: "Sure, Darkthrone is BETTER, but this is GOOD!".

Review by: catflapo

This album, not is "true" (black metal norwegian) as the 2 first albums of Dimmu Borgir. But i think it the best album of this band after of "For all Tid" or "Stormblast".
the best songs are: - mourning palace
- in death's embrace
and the song re-edit - Raabjord Speiler Draugheimes Skodde

all mixed the "romantic" with "black metal" and "melodies symphonies". Nothing it Gothic pure black metal melodic "Modern Norwegian black metal".

No...nonononooo. This is pure "unholy" cräp happy fjoll dimmu "metal" pop.
Not for the trööe evil böjs!

I worship true unholy black metal full of coldness, darkness, brutality and pain. This has melody, slow parts and very-present keyboards. But this is a total masterpiece and perfectly recreates the black metal feelings. I do not like other stuff from these guys, but evrybody should listen carefully to this album.

This is one of the most remarkable albums ever made. Throught the album it is hard to find a bad track. 7th track is my favorite. I listen and listen but there is no trace of boredom. I listen this album from 98 till today that means this is such a damn album for my taste even I kind of against keybord type instruments for that kind of music. But in his ecole Old's Mans Child is the second band that can use these instruments and gives a good taste of darkness.

This is best of Borgir I think, and this is one of the best blackmetal albums of all time. Songs like Mourning Palace, Spellbound, In Death's Embrace, Tormentor of Christian Souls are really hair rising. There are so many "hitsongs" in E.D.T. But in this Borgir album there is again those songs witch aren't so good. Some songs are boring, and when I nowadays listen this album I only listen the best ones... however this is great album.

Since this album, the Black metal changed forever, since this... the musical conception of black metal must to be...
this album broke the direction of metal... Broke the rules, Changed the ways, this album is a really Revolution in the history of metal scene... the best... I have to say no more...

Simply one of the best black metal albums by dimmu and one of the best that dont have that classic "raw" production sound like early Emperor of Darkthrone or whoever else GO BUY IT!

Review by: xIbanezAbuserx

Now this is one of Dimmus best, although not better than stormblåst and for all tid. I believe it was one of the first black metal albums I heard. Of course it is not as good as the true norwegian classics like "transylvanian hunger", "pentagram", "bergtatt" or "in the nightside eclipse" but I can still listen to it with pleasure. Best songs are:spellbound, in deaths embrace and of
course my favorite track a succubus in rapture. I really dont like the direction dimmu(and many other bands) did after this. And this album reminds me of how bad death cult and puritanical are.

This album sounds a little more happier at times but that isnt a bad thing. It is actually my second favorite Dimmu Borgir album. I always seem to turn back to this one and listen to my favorite song Entrance. It is an album worth buying that is way better than the album that made them famous Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia

My Favorite Dimmu Borgir CD! Enthrone Darkness Triumphant amazes me. Anybody who likes Dimmu Borgir should get this CD! My Favorite Track is In Death's Embrace! 10/10

Review by: Lokist

After two excellent albums, "For All Tid" and "Stormblast", Dimmu Borgir signed for Nuclear Blast... and that was the beginning of the end. In this cd the dreaming unique atmospheres of "Stormblast" are mixed with Iron Maiden-esque guitars and very eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil lyrics, in order to sell as more copies as they could. The result: a total crappy album, and hundred thousands (or even a million, I don't know exactly) copies sold. Well done Dimmu Borgir! What will be your next step? A duet with Justin Timberlake?
My rating: 45 out of 100

This happens to be my favorite Dimmu Borgir's album. All the songs are great, especially Mourning Palace, In Death's Embrace and The Night Masquerade. I understand those who criticize their symphonic influences on their souns, but i don't agree with them when they turn their backs on the band... I mean don't you want our beloved sound to expand and reach new heights? A band as Dimmu Borgir as done a lot to make the satanic movement stronger, that is my opinion

My first Dimmu Borgir album I've listened to. And it's FUCKING AWESOME. All the songs are very melodic and nice to listen to with shitloads of variety. Essential in any metal collection.

Many consider this as a milestone of BM but to me it's nothing special. I've listened to this few times and have not urge to do it again. IMO it's a waste of time. Nothing special.

With this disc it was announced throughout the world, breaking the borders beyond the ocean and habrio them to the Norwegian metal. Written in English to come to mas people now the letters are less northern. 3er Full-length of the Norwegian band, in which it is possible to estimate a radical change in the way of composing the songs, both in the music and in the poetry, considered by many as the best disc of the band, and for others, as the beginning of the end of the same one.
