unfortunately TG is still disappointing for all of us who follow the band from Always... that damn desire to catch more fans does his music easy, bored, pop... the amazing anneke's voice is still there... that's totally true... but this style of music is not for them... maybe 'Home' might be a bit better than 'Souvenirs'... but still sucks definitively...

Quite experimental and soft, with soft I do no mean lame, however the heaviness is gone and a new era reach its peak point, but after listening souvenirs... the gathering is loosing something, How to Measure a Planet was a great album, and given the nature of this one it´s quite unfair to make any analogy... however, this is a nice trip!

I didn´t like this album at first. In fact, I didn´t understand it. It grew slowly at first, then faster, and now I love it. The thing is, this is not trip rock anymore, and I was expecting some kind of continuity to Souvenirs, with somewhat harsh guitar textures and loud drums.

But this is infinitely more subtle. The melodies relie almost entirely on Anneke's softer-than-ever voice, and distortion is almost unheard of. And this brings me to the core of this humble review: this is, well, I'll just say it straight. Pop. This is Pop. It's very well written, mellow, soft, but it's definitely pop. You'll hear some Björk and some Cardigans in here. In fact you may even hear some Dido. So be aware.

BTW, 10/10. Yeah, it deserves a 10 because it kicks ass, and this disc is one of my guilty pleasures.
