Your Review:

the most technical marduk album ever made, and legions vocals are fuckin incredible. all the songs sort of sound the same for first, but if you listen to the album more than once, you will be fuckin amazed!!!!!

exorcist I agree with you, but "darkness it shall be" surely isn't technical. I think "Nightwing" is marduk's best album, but 2nd is "Heaven Shall Burn" for sure!
GLORIFICATION OF THE BLACK GOD!!!

Marduk - Heaven Shall Burn ... When We are Gathered

Marduk's fourth 'full-length' album "Heaven Shall Burn..." really surprised me. It's crystal-clear sound quality is one of its unbelievably many advantages. The variations of the songs are a part of well-controlled diversity, and the slower songs (i.e. "Dracul va Domni Din Nou in Transilvania") give much more feeling to the album.

The purposefully techinal album is one of the Marduk's best albums, and it possesses best songs from the whole band, such as "Beyond the Grace of God", "Glorification of the Black God" and "Legion". Even if this is rather unique album, it doesn't provide anything, which cannot be found on any else Marduk album. The technicality is nothing when compared to the bass-drenched "La Grande Danse Macabre", but still it's very, very unique album.

This Marduk-album is according to me one the best of their works. I really enjoy listen to this one, and their style is still brutal but also has a rythm.

10 out of 10

GOOD WORK!

"Heaven shall burn - until we are gathered" is a pretty good album.
But I think the best songs "Legion", "Darkness it shall be", "Beyond the Grace of God" or "Infernal Eternal" you can hear in harder, faster and better versions on "Live in Germania" or "Infernal Eternal".

perfect studio sound, faster, evil, just hate, breakpoint of marduk into the fast mysantropic black metal

This is actually quite fairly technical and melodic despite the 'blasterbation' stigma it caries.A very enjoyable and heavily satanic marduk release with a nice interpretation of 'A night on bare mountain' (glorification of the black god)
