Marduk - Obedience

The grimness of Marduk is not very well executed in this mini-CD, but I don't care a flying fuck about that small fact. In my opinion, this CD contains exclusively strong atmosphere, and it's not as transgressive as the older, faster material.

This CD may be desecrative to the band's previous music, but the hatred to Marduk's diversity has clearly been directed onto this album instead of "La Grande Danse Macabre". I personally would say, that this is the most interesting album Marduk has ever made. As I've been saying, it's not as fleshripping as "Panzer Division Marduk", but the melody replaces the extreme speed and rawness. I don't regret spending 10 € from getting this album (with it's U.S. version bonus tracks). It's worth every cent and more.

"Obedience" (the song) is one of the more melodic Marduk-Songs, "Funeral Bitch" is a coverversion of a song of the american Death Metal band "Master" and "Into the crypts of Rays" is a "Celtic Frost"-Coverversion.
To make it short: it's an interesting EP that you should own.
