Nobody want's to write a review about Those Of The Unlight?
Are the so few fans who own the cd? Most of you ripped it of the internet with a fucking poor sound quality, which is really good on the original. I'll do it then!
It is a cd that's got songs on it that are exiting to begin with!!! Joakim Af Gravf drums/vocals makes the songs sound really strong.
The cd has the underground feeling, and that's the reason why I fell in love with blackmetal!!! Don't you ?? Stay true to yourselves gentlemen !! The songs have variation in them, todays Marduk is much more havier sounding and high
speed then on THOSE...
Devo Andersson plays guitars together with Morgan on this cd,which manny "kids" will never have known untill now.
A very strong and true blackmetal disk so buy or DIE !!!
85/100

1993: "Darkness breeds Immortality" was the first Marduk-song I've ever heard.
Its intensity, its unbelievable speed and its true evilness impressed me totally.
After listening to songs like "Wolves" or "Burn my Coffin" (a KILLER!!!!!), I knew one thing very sure:

MARDUK RULE!!!!!!!!!!!

Marduks greatest album without a doubt! Its not as dark as Dark Endless but the songs are better in my opinion. This was the album where B.War joined and his performance in On Darkened Wings is fantastic. He isnt the only member who stands out in this album, Joakim Af Gravf's vocals and drums, especially on Wolves are fantastic, aswell as Morgan and Devo's Guitars thought the album are breath taking. The album has the general dark forest feel to it, which are found on all of Marduk's pre Legion albums. And the song Echoes from the Past is the greatest song of all time. It has a 5 minute accustic and keyboard intro, then 2 minutes of epic metal, which makes my nipples hard and my lips wet and since its an instramental, even people who dont like black metal can appreciate it. This album is a must buy for any black metal fan, never mind Marduk fan.

There's nothing i need to say to strengthen the need to own this album! I agree with the above comments and only want to say that this IS the best Marduk album first and foremost and Dark Endless next to it. Very interesting sounds within and a song like 'Wolves' with its screaches is a killer track amongst a load of other great ones! Unlike Panzer Division Marduk, which is brutally fast but with no atmosphere whatsoever, this creates a feeling of total pleasure if proper unholy BM is what you crave!

There are a lot of utterly dark moments,a highly enjoyable black metal record. And bearing in mind this was released before most of the norwegian 'big-bands' had release their debut full lengths.Good melodic and rockin black metal!
