Your Review:

Penetralia play melodic, doomy, and operatic dark metal. The vocals are black metal style, but the music just won't allow itself to be called black metal. It is DRENCHED in synths, so the "true" crowd can safely avoid this one. Those who enjoy dark metal symphonies in the style of early Thy Serpent, Dimmu Borgir (This is like a doomier, more operatic version of Dimmu Borgir's "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant".), or "Drachenblut"-era Mystic Circle will enjoy this. The music is mid-tempo, with faster parts here and there ("Escape", track 6, is a bit thrashy) and opera-style male and female vocals. This isn't "essential", but is definitely recommended for dark (melodic black) metal and doom metal lovers alike.
