Great album!! Not metal...but it's brilliant. Garm is a genius. Favorite tracks: Lost in Moments, Porn piece or the scars of cold kisses, Hallways of Always, The Future Sound of Music, and the awesome Nowhere/catastrophe.

Electronic, dark, very deep. Difficult stuff to get into.

this is Ulver's finest effort to my opinion

This is one of the best records i've ever listened to, in terms of mood. Just pop it into the cdplayer and go out for a midnight walk on the empty streets of the city: you'll get it. This is one record to be praised decades from now on!
Great merits and hails go to Ulver for this one!

Addictive like loneliness. Not for everyone. Garm has a great feel of music. Dark electronical melancholy at its best.

I have never listened to Ulver before. Apparently it was a black metal band. One name strikes when you listen to Perdition City: "Massive Attack". This album sounds like trip-hop, and is very pleasant to listen to. I fell in love when I heard the last 15seconds of "Lost in Moments" with all the chorus and everything. Otherwise, "porn piece" is real great track, a kind of mix between Anathema, Opeth and Massive Attack. The other tracks are in the same mood, calm and dark.
This album is not metal, but if you like experimental calm and atmospheric music you should really have a try.
